The developers The Z and Sawaz present a new “Custom Firmware” called 5,00 TZS-6 that allow us “to emulate” the new developments of official firmware 6.31 in 5.00 M33, although at the moment is only compatible with PSP Slim.

Installation:
1. - Must have 5.00 M33-6
2. - Connected to the network and sufficient battery 80% of battery
3. - Decompressed firmware and Copy it to root ms0/PSP/Game
4. - Create a folder called kd620 in the root of the memory card , if you already created, perfect, no need to create it,we copy the file usbcam and usbmic.prx, that can be found in the same folder of the CFW.
5. - In the seplugins folder eliminate the archives psnlover.prx and m33_620.prx and their routes in vsh.txt and game.txt
6. - In the VSH/XMB we executed the 5.00 TZS-6
7. - Install the Custom Firmware
8. - We entered the Recovery menu --> Configuration --> Fake region: Korea
9. - We activated version.txt and we go to Hacks of the registry and changed to accept to X and and no to O
10. - ENJOY your new CFw 5.00/6.31

PSP homebrew coder extraordinaire wololo and his team is back once again in the homebrew scene to release a new version of their Half Byte Loader project, the open source Homebrew Loader for the PSP that allows you to play homebrews on any PSP, including the PSP Go, running on firmwares up to 6.20. Along with the release, the dev also announces wMenu for the said project.

Developer's note:
Just when you thought the weekend couldn’t get any better, here’s a new revision of HBL. It only fixes a few minor issues (mainly, a memory leak in some cases), but I wanted those fixes to be in before I announced my side project for HBL: wMenu.

We, the dev team of HBL decided to not accept bug reports for the menu as part of bugs of the HBL. This is why we moved the menu as a separate application, to allow the HBL project to be free of any user interface. This should allow several menus to appear in time, and this will allow users to choose the interface they like. wMenu is my humble contribution to this, and hopefully you’ll like it. From now on, I’ll include it in my “distrib” compiled versions of HBL. I will not include it in the dev version, because it is currently slower than the default menu.

wMenu is compatible with HBL 91 although HBL92 (or above, if you read this in the future) is recommended.

"This new revision brings 2 major changes for the user: First, the menu is now a standard eboot. It means that if you are a homebrew coder, you can create your own menu with the usual SDK tools, and are not limited to the Patapon SDK anymore. Second, HBL is now able to come back to the menu once you quit a homebrew. This function is highly experimental for now, so don’t cry if the second homebrew you run doesn’t work as expected… This feature can be disabled by setting return_to_xmb_on_exit=1 in the file hbl/hbl_config.txt. I still recommend revision 85 for now if you are looking for maximum compatibility and performance, but revision 91 sure has some benefits."

WARNING: if you have a game save from a patched game and you  want to run the original unpatched game on Custom Firmware 5.50  Prometheus; that save most probably will be corrupted, don't try it!  Back-up the save first. You can use sgdeemer on the save, but I'm not  sure how to fix the save with that prog. If someone does please let me  know, thanks.

Warning, 5.50 GEN-D3 user installed  may not be able to read the original SAVE.
In fact, this is a bug  in 5.50 GEN-D3, 5.50 Prometheus and 5.50 GEN-D2 SAVES are compatible.
Before  installing use sgdeemer to decrypt the save, after installation you can  use sgdeemer to read the decrypted file back.

First,  install 5.50 GEN-D3, however, download the package installation  accessories. After successful installation, you can note the version  number of the system into a 5.50 Prometheus.

With the release of God of War: Ghost of Sparta, Sony decided to take it up a notch by releasing a matching PSP for it.
However, how well it's associated with the game can be questioned.

At a first glance, the color combination might makes you want to tear your eyes out.
Luckily, I didn't. And after overlooking the PSP a bit closer, I came to the conclusion that it was pretty slick after all. Yes, they could've used another shade of red. By all means, they should have, but they didn't.

So what do you think? Are the colors just plain horrible, or does it look pretty cool after all?

After leaving the scene over a year ago, Red Squirrel is back in the PSP scene.

With the release of his newest app, D2-D3 Switcher, time will tell if he's here to stay or just dropping by a handy app for us to use.

So what is this, you ask?

According to RedSquirrel himself, this switches the peagasus.prx in flash0 between the 5.50 GEN-D2 and D3. By doing this, you'll be able to use savedatas that may appear corrupted in D3.

Please note: This is for 5.50 GEN only!
Users on 5.03 GEN or any other firmware should not attempt to run this.

UPDATE: Two days after the initial release, Red Squirrel has announced that some users have encountered "Error writing new peagasus.prx" message when using this.


To avoid this, simply disable all game.txt plugins before running this program. After running it, you can re-enable them.

I made this theme to help cheer up a friend going through hard times.
It is a New York Giants (American NFL) theme.
I used NothingFace420's Simple Design theme as a base to build on.
It is for 5.00 and it features sub folder support for PHOTO/MUSIC. Because the 5.50 sub folder files stuff up CTF Tool GUI, it would not convert automatically, and I do not feel like converting it manually. So this is for 5.00 only right now.
